MetaDJ Copyright / DMCA Policy

1. Commitment and scope

MetaDJ helps artists reach a wider audience and respects rightsholders. We are committed to DMCA notice-and-takedown and will act expeditiously on valid infringement notices and actual knowledge or facts making infringement apparent. This policy covers MetaDJ.live and MetaDJ.org. Effective date: October 10, 2026. Operator: John Papa. Registration is one condition of safe-harbor eligibility, not guaranteed immunity.

2. Designated copyright agent

Send copyright notices and counter-notices to:

John Papa
H074 2C3
Inyokern, CA 93527, United States
Phone: 559-850-5677
Email: JohnAnthonyMarie@gmail.com

The Copyright Office's public directory lists the designation as Active, effective October 8, 2026. Registration number: DMCA-1082381. Covered alternate names in the reviewed filing are MetaDJ, MetaDJ.live, MetaDJ.org and JohnAnthonyMarie.com. Registration is one condition of safe-harbor eligibility, not a guarantee of protection. This policy covers MetaDJ.live and MetaDJ.org. Including JohnAnthonyMarie.com in the registration does not by itself expand these Terms or Privacy Policy to an unreviewed website. General support: JohnAnthonyMarie@gmail.com.

3. Upload rights

Original music and purchased collections are both subject to necessary permissions for hosting/streaming, including recording and musical-work rights. Purchase alone is not permission. Listeners receive personal listening access, not downloads, ripping, reuploading, rebroadcast or redistribution rights. See Terms.

4. Submitting an infringement notice

Send a written notice to the agent with:

  1. Physical/electronic signature of a person authorized for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work, or representative list if multiple works at a single online site are covered.
  3. Identification of the material to remove/disable and information reasonably sufficient to locate it, including specific page/track URLs.
  4. Contact information reasonably sufficient to reach you: address, telephone and email if available.
  5. A statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized by owner, agent or law.
  6. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, you are authorized for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

Consider licenses and applicable law, including copyright exceptions. Knowing material misrepresentation may create liability under section 512(f). Include only relevant information. We may ask for missing required details.

5. After a valid notice

We will expeditiously remove or disable identified material and take reasonable steps promptly to notify the uploader. We may provide a copy of the notice, including contact details. A takedown is not a court determination of infringement. Reversible quarantine may be used to disable access while preserving review/restoration data.

6. Counter-notices

An affected uploader may send a written counter-notice with:

  1. Physical/electronic signature.
  2. Identification of removed/disabled material and its prior location.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief that removal/disabling resulted from mistake or misidentification.
  4. Name, address and telephone number.
  5. Consent to Federal District Court jurisdiction in the judicial district of that address, or, if outside the United States, any judicial district where MetaDJ's operator may be found.
  6. Acceptance of service of process from the original notifier or that person's agent.

Email is also helpful. We will forward a compliant counter-notice and required contact details to the original notifier. Counter-notices have legal consequences; seek legal advice if unsure.

7. Restoration

On receipt of a compliant counter-notice we will promptly send it to the original notifier and inform that person we will restore the material or cease disabling it in 10 business days. We will restore/cease disabling not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after counter-notice receipt unless our agent first receives notice that the notifier filed an action seeking a court order restraining the uploader's infringement relating to this material on our system. Independent lawful restrictions or separate Terms violations may affect access.

8. Repeat infringers and records

We will reasonably implement and inform account holders of a policy terminating repeat-infringer accounts in appropriate circumstances. Egregious violations may lead to suspension/termination sooner. We will consider notices, counter-notices, reversals and other reliable information with recorded reasons, not an invented fixed strike count. We will accommodate and not interfere with standard technical measures within section 512(i). Notices/counter-notices may be retained for enforcement/legal purposes under the Privacy Policy and shared with the opposing party as required. Do not send passwords or unrelated sensitive information. Other questions: JohnAnthonyMarie@gmail.com. This policy does not decide ownership, clear unlicensed music or guarantee a legal result.
